The Milpitas Community Museum has submitted the winning bid to buy a North Main Street property just north of the library that for years has been desired by some as a potential public park. On Nov. 8, the Milpitas Oversight Board unanimously approved the museum’s $315,000 bid for the parcel at 230 N. Main St. The board is the successor agency to the city’s old redevelopment agency. “It was quite a bid,” Althea Polanski, an oversight board member, said last Friday.
