The biggest draw of the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival is undoubtedly the July 24 appearance of former Vice President Al Gore at a screening of “An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power.” It’s the follow-up to his landmark global warming expose, “An Inconvenient Truth.” But even if you can’t score a ticket to that premiere, there are other worthy cinematic options. The festival kicks off its San Francisco run July 20 with a winner (the romantic comedy “Keep the Change”) and ends July 30 with another standout (the documentary “Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story”). In its 37th year, the bustling program extends from Albany to Oakland to Palo Alto and on into San Rafael, with opening nights at each location.
